EDITORS' NOTE:

Eggshells is finally here! When you crack into this latest issue, you will find that breakfast food truly is important. You may also find that a fragile egg resembles grief, misunderstood spiders, or a lover’s spine. Perhaps broken yolks can be viewed as a way we break out of ourselves, into new identities. But sometimes, we don’t have to fix the broken things, and we can leave the Humpty Dumpties of the world where we found them. While you’re here, we encourage you to devour some omelette onomatopoeia, sunny-side up stanzas, and poached illustrations.

Thank you all so much for your patience during these times. The world has experienced so much grief since we started Horse Egg Literary, but we are so thankful we have found a community within you all to fall back on. We hope you may find solace while reading some of the eggstraordinary pieces that were sent to us. Until next time, please enjoy this literary brunch.

Sincerely,

Arielle & Kristen
