issue 5: daydreams // nightmares

EDITORS' NOTE:

An ethereal figure lies just beyond the veil… oh wait, it’s our fifth issue: daydreams//nightmares, ft. the monsters we make up in our own minds // the fluffy hopes we wish for when we blow out candles. Upon opening//closing the daydreams//nightmares issue, you will find racoon girls//sunset orders, peeled oranges//residual hauntings. You may notice your own mind wanders in and out of your own waking whimsy or sleeping scares, but we are here to give these shifts gravity. We find that life is delicate, that art is what happens//inside the lines//. We don’t know what lives in the shadows of your mind; a blanket fort made of cloud wisps, or something much more sinister. Here lies depths that are fathomless, from above and below.

    Wishing you sweet dreams//beautiful nightmares,

Arielle & Kristen

P. S. This is the first issue we've created alongside our newest team members, Rebecca Herrera and Quinn Christensen! We are so grateful for the work they’ve been doing at Horse Egg Literary; they’ve made our collaboration process a sweet dream. Thank you both immensely.
